Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 3:11PM This one is from a recent oopoomoo workshop called "Badlands, Buicks and Old Buildings". It was an amazing workshop! I'll write a little more about the experience once I can share more images... for now, I'm hard at work on wedding photos!

Technical Stuff:
I used my Canon 5d mark II and 17-40 f4 lens. To cut the reflecting light on the grass and windows as well as deepen the blue in the sky I used a polarizer. I noticed that the clouds were moving quite quickly towards me so I decided to use solid neutral density filters (7stops of nd filters and 2 stops from the polarizer) to lengthen my exposure to 45 seconds show motion in the sky and blowing grass. I really like the way the sky draws you in to the vehicle. I removed a few small vehicles way off in the distance to avoid distractions in the image. The black and white conversion was done with an action I have created which deepens midtones and adds a little sepia tone.

Awesome shot Wayne! I love the dramatic lines in the sky. The warm toned black and white treatment is really nice too. Great work as usual, I'm looking forward to seeing more!
